Asia Argento and Ashton Whitty
Ashton Blaise Whitty, an actress, was born on 1 October 1995 in Berkeley, California. Her most well-known role is as an actress appearing on screen in Choices (2011), The Heart and Other Small Shapes (2004) and Chrissie Mair's Content House.
Asia Argento was born in Rome, Italy, into an extended family of actors and filmmakers. Both are careers she herself has taken up. Her debut came when she was only nine years old, in the film of Sergio Citti, Sogni e bisogni (1985). In 1988, she played the leading role in the debut film of Cristina Comencini, Zoo (1988), and was one of the actors in The Church (1989), directed by Michele Soavi. The following year she played Nanni Moretti's daughter in Red Wood Pigeon (1989) (also directed by Moretti). It was in Close Friends (1992), written and directed by Michele Placido, that Asia's career really took off and she was able to change from playing young girls to more mature, complex role. This movie received a positive review at the Cannes International Film Festival. She's made three films along with her father, Trauma, The Stendhal syndrome, and Phantom of the opera. The Phantom of the Opera marks her third collaboration together with the director's father. The others are Trauma and The Stendhal Syndrome. Giuseppe Piccioni's Condannato A Nozze showcased Asia's absorbed manner that she exhibited in her playing. She played Arianna in Carlo Verdone's Perdiamoci di vista. It was a character in which she was so intricate that she earned the David di Donatello prize for the best actress. Patrice Chereau directed her in Queen Margot in which she played a prominent role. In 1995 Asia worked with Michel Piccoli to produce Peter Del Monte's Traveling Companion, for which she was awarded a David di Donatello. Asia started directing as a career in 1994. The first film she directed was Prospettive. A documentary she created about her dad followed by Abel/Asia (1998) the film that won a prize during the Rome Film Festival, were both directed from 1996 to 1998. In 1999, Asia began her film-directing career with Scarlet Diva (2000), where she played the main actress and writer of the screenplay. The movie came out on the 20th of May the 20th of May, 2000 in Italy as well as all over the world. This film was awarded at the Williamsburg Festival in Brooklyn, New York. Anna Lou was her first born child in the year 2001. After having directed a number of music videos she had Anna Lou. In 2002, she appeared featured in The Red Siren directed by Olivier Megaton and starred alongside Jean-Marc Barr. Rob Cohen also directed the action-packed thriller together with Vin Diesel. The short stories of Asia have been featured in prestigious publications.
